- During the construction phase of DB Schenker’s state-of-the-art 35,000 square-meter temperature-controlled warehouse, Amana completed the installation of the Solar PV Rooftop system and commissioned it concurrently with the building completion.
- The Solar PV system is composed of 6,840 high-efficiency 72-cell solar modules and other proprietary components expected to generate 3,675 MWh of energy during its first year of operation and roughly 85,000 MWh throughout its lifetime.
- Amana executed the solar project on a turnkey basis including but not limited to design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
- Besides the environmental benefit of offsetting around 1,800 Tons of CO2 each year, the PV installation will have an estimated annual electricity savings of 1.63 million dirhams.
- The installation is estimated to cover up to 95% of the total facility’s required energy helping DB Schenker get closer to achieving their sustainability goals.
