The Tabreed District Cooling Plant is a refrigeration facility built to provide cooling to the Dubai Metro stations within the vicinity of the plant. The cooling plant has two underground levels due to height restrictions in the area. Moreover, the physical location was very challenging considering that Al Rigga is a very congested area and most of the construction had to be carried out at night.
The plant is housed within a 2,600 square meter building which is designed to integrate within the architectural theme of surround neighborhood.
