In 2003, Hempel Paints was requested by the Sharjah government to relocate their factory from a residential sector of the city to the industrial zone. In order to meet the government requirements without disrupting production, Hempel awarded Amana the fast-track turnkey contract based on Amana’s reputation of delivering projects on-time and on-budget.
The production facility, with a total built-up area exceeding 10,000 square meters was completed in 6 months and includes a small storage area, loading docks and offices. Due to the nature of the paint production process, detailed attention was made to ensure the factory was built to international standards. Hempel has hailed the factory as state-of-the-art in terms of safety, protection of employees and the environment.
