The buildings are constructed on 377,700 square meters of reclaimed land at Port Rashid and required over 5,000 tons of steel. The facilities were constructed on a fast track basis in two simultaneous phases.
The 11 buildings have a total built-up area of 85,000sqm and were built using special architectural and structural elements to create the required roof curvature and design. The building cladding is coated with special coatings to resist the corrosive nature of the area in addition to the aesthetically enhanced curved nature of the structural steel.
The internal units are divided by fire rated partitions in addition to the presence of sprinkler systems and hose racks to fully comply with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) requirements. The building is equipped with smoke ventilators, heat ventilators, and high quality industrial doors.
