Awarded to Amana on a fast-track basis, the ninth phase of the Light Industrial Units consists of 40 warehouses with 8.5 meter bay space and aluminum-insulated sandwich composite panels for the ceiling and walls.
These high quality, thermally insulated purpose-built units are fitted with offices and two cargo entry/exit points, one a ramp for forklifts and the other a loading dock for containers and trucks, located at the rear of each unit. The 27,500 square meter facility required over 700 metric tons of steel to build and was completed in 240 days.
Phase 9 of the project comes on the heel of Amana’s completion of Phase 8 in December 2005, which consisted of 21 light industrial units with a total built-up area of 64,000 square meters. Amana was also awarded Phase 12 which will add an additional 34,000 square meters of warehousing space.
