South Staff Accommodation Food Court for Dubai Ports Authority at Jebel Ali Free Zone

Client: Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation
Consultant: Bel—Yoahah Architectural Engineering
Location: Dubai
Completion Date: June 2009
Duration: 11 months
Built-up Area: 18,300sqm
Scope: Turnkey

This facility is designed to be a state-of-the-art high-finished concrete building with steel roof and an extremely good aesthetic elevation which includes curtain wall glazing, aluminum composite panels, powder-coated aluminum claustra and aluminum pipes, polished granite patterns, parapets on different heights for aesthetical looks with acrylic textured paints and steel canopies covered with aluminum composite panels.

This is a fully designed job and Amana’s scope of work is only construction within the buildings limits and there are no external works, either existing or done by others so the project required high-level coordination in MEP works in order to connect the local services with the existing infrastructure. The building is a mix of steel structure and RCC structure, having curved roof steel beams covered with standing seam cladding and a glazed skylight.
