“I’m A Donor” Blood Drive Campaign – June 14, 2008

As part of the World Blood Donor Day Campaign, Amana employees supported their community by participating in a blood drive. Local blood banks dispatched their own mobile blood collection to all Amana Offices in the UAE.

In total, 54,450ml of blood was donated providing a lifeline for people suffering from blood-related diseases and emergency operations. The donations were handled by: Sheikh Khalifa Medical Center (Abu Dhabi), Al Wasl Hospital (Dubai) and Sharjah Blood Center (Sharjah & Ras Al Khaimah).

All participants received a certificate of appreciation from Amana’s Corporate HR Department and from the Blood Bank that collected the donation. Also, Amana employees received a cap identifying them as blood donors, and snacks to provide them with energy once they completed the donation process.
