Amana Dubai Participates in Clean Up the World 2009
Amana Contracting and Steel Buildings, Dubai office has pledged its full support for the Dubai version of "Clean Up the World 2009", an environmental initiative by Dubai Municipality.
About 150 Amana employees took part in this voluntary work to represent Amana Group for the fourth consecutive year.
Amana’s Management considers this event to be a commitment to preserve the environment and a solution for higher health standards of living.
Taking recyclable waste to a community recycling center or putting recyclable items out for collection is one of the most important environmental efforts you can make.
Recyclable waste is anything that can be collected and remanufactured into new products. For example:
• Steel cans are used to make appliances.
• Aluminum cans can become soda cans and house siding.
• Paper can be turned into new paper and used for packaging.
• Plastic bottles are made into can liners, plastic lumber and pots for plants.
• Glass containers are used to make decorative tiles and paving material.
Let’s make recycling a resolution for every day!
We all need to unite across all sectors of society if we are to bring about the level of change required.
Amana will always contribute in such campaigns to promote the importance of global environmental protection.
Clean Up the World members have proved time and again that actions do speak louder than words.
