Amana is proud to announce that William Bsaibes, our Green Initiative Manager, has gained Faculty Member Status with the US Green Building Council (USGBC). According to the USGBC website:
USGBC Faculty™ are expert practitioners in the green building industry who are the only individuals authorized to teach USGBC education programs. With hundreds of courses a year taught worldwide, Faculty are on the front lines of the green building movement, educating thousands per year on the use and value of green building practices and the LEED rating systems. They are passionate advocates, advancing USGBC’s goal of market transformation through fundamental education initiatives.
With a USGBC Faculty on hand, Amana’s internal trainings for LEED and sustainable construction will be further developed and enhanced to ensure that the company has strong LEED AP and LEED GA teams across all our offices.
About William Bsaibes
William is Amana’s Green Initiative Manager and holds a doctorate in Geophysics from Louis Pasteur University-France. He joined Amana in 1999 after having worked for multinational companies in Europe, Africa and the Middle East region. While at Amana, William has developed the company’s sustainable construction capabilities from the ground up and is a USGBC Faculty Member in addition to being LEED AP BD+C certified. In addition to his green credentials, William is also Head of Planning, Cost Control and EHSMS at Amana Abu Dhabi.
